Our History

EMA Global began operations in 1991 under Express Medical Assistance, founded by Dr Winston Jong, an anaesthetist and intensivist with extensive hospital-based experience. At a time when aeromedicine was not widely practised in the region, EMA Global became a pioneer in Asia performing advanced patient transfers including ECMO and IABP support. Over time, EMA Global evolved from a medical evacuation provider into a fully integrated medical and crisis assistance organisation, supporting organisations with medical coordination, travel risk mitigation, and medical emergency response planning for workplaces.
