Dr. Winston Jong

Group CEO and Group Medical Director

Dr. Jong is the Group CEO and Group Medical Director of EMA Global, which he founded in 1991. Dr. Jong has established himself in the fields of clinical anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. He is also an expert in aero-medical medicine and the management of medical assistance. Dr. Jong is a leading sub specialist in aeromedical medicine. Dr Jong also oversees the medical care provided for all transports and is involved with the aeromedical training and quality assurance of EMA Global’s medical escorts.

Dr. Mark Paul Castillo

Head of Clinical Governance & Quality

Dr. Mark Paul S. Castillo serves as Head of Clinical Governance and Quality, bringing a powerful combination of frontline emergency expertise and global healthcare accreditation to EMA Global. As a Fellow of the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine, he possesses the specialized clinical judgment required for high-stakes aeromedical operations and complex repatriations. His unique value to the role stems from his leadership as Assistant Director for Hospital Accreditation at Makati Medical Center, where he mastered the rigorous Joint Commission International (JCI) standards. This experience, paired with his background in digital health transformation, allows him to implement the same world-class safety and compliance frameworks within EMA Global. By bridging the gap between hospital-grade governance and international medical assistance, Dr. Castillo ensures that every mission meets the highest global benchmarks for clinical excellence and patient safety.

Jaslyn Siow

Group Chief of Medical Operations

Jaslyn brings over 34 years of acute care and leadership experience to her role as Group Chief Medical Operations Officer. A State Registered Nurse since 1992, she is the primary architect of EMA Global’s clinical standards, directing the logistics and safety protocols for complex aeromedical evacuations and critical care transfers worldwide. With a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Sydney and a specialized background in anaesthesia and perioperative care, Jaslyn excels at managing high-acuity patients during long-range repatriations. She ensures a seamless transition of care across international borders, overseeing the precise coordination of medical teams and life-support equipment. Her clinical judgment and operational rigor are central to EMA Global’s ability to execute challenging medevac assignments with consistent excellence.

Dr. Johnny Sinon

President, Medical Director, Philippines

Dr. Johnny B. Sinon, MD, FPCEM, MMHoA, is a senior emergency physician and healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience in emergency medicine, aeromedical medicine, and international medical and travel assistance. As Medical Director for the Philippines at EMA Global, he provides clinical leadership and oversight for medical assistance operations, emergency response, and patient transport services. A Fellow of the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Sinon has held several key leadership positions, including Medical Director and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Makati Medical Center, and President of the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine. Throughout his distinguished career, he has remained actively involved in aeromedical and transport medicine, healthcare quality, medical education, and the advancement of emergency medical services in the Philippines and across the region.

Nathanond (Nop) Bavornthanapipat

Head of Learning, Development & Training

Nop brings over 20 years of accumulated experience in the healthcare service sector, spanning medical assistance and prominent international hospitals, to create tailored organizational development programs. These initiatives are designed to address specific service needs and maximize customer satisfaction through a high standard of professionalism.

Rumi Yamamoto

Clinical Liason, Japan

Rumi Yamamoto is a pioneer in aeromedical nursing and a leading authority on international clinical standards in Japan. A trailblazer in the field, she was among the first Japanese medical professionals to serve as a primary flight escort for major multinational assistance organizations. Rumi has published two seminal books on aeromedical medicine that serve as essential guides for the next generation of international nurses. With a career spanning nearly a decade at world-class international hospitals and clinical leadership roles in Tokyo and Niseko, she brings an elite level of expertise to EMA Global. As Clinical Liaison and Medical Case Manager, Rumi leverages her extensive network of Japanese providers to ensure operational stability and world-class care for our global clients.

Tina Zainal

Training & Development Specialist

Tina is responsible for supporting employee learning and development across EMA Global. She works closely with department leaders to identify training needs, coordinate learning programs, and ensure employees have the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles effectively. Tina also collaborates with Operations, Medical, Claims, and QA teams to address performance gaps and promote continuous improvement. Through practical and structured learning initiatives, Tina helps build a capable workforce that supports EMA Global’s commitment to service quality, operational excellence, and customer care.
